I’ve been traveling for over 40 years. I’ve been to over half of the continents! My first job out of high school was at a travel agency. Traveling is in my blood! I go above and beyond to ensure my clients are happy and their vacation becomes their dream come true.
Meet Global Girlie
Hi! I’m Deby and I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and lived there for 22 years. After I graduated college, I moved to Los Angeles, then Phoenix and then eventually Shenzhen, China and right after that Phuket, Thailand. I bought a house in Phuket because I fell in love with it.
I did study Mandarin in China for about a year and a half. This gets my by very well when I go shopping and to restaurants. I can negotiate very well with the Chinese. I went to China to purchase a factory, so I have experience purchasing a variety of foreign goods. I sourced a lot of different items for my daily deals customers.
In Phuket I owned a boat and went to all different Islands around Phuket. I also spent some time purchasing fabrics in Bangkok to have custom clothes made. Honestly, the best place to have clothes made is Shanghai. They do the best work and are the fastest. I just love wearing clothes that no one else has.
I have been to most Asian countries because when you live in China or Thailand, you have to leave every 60 or 90 days. Unless you have a special visa. So I was constantly leaving and making / planning / going on trips to all the different countries around there. The easiest places to go were Hong Kong and Singapore. They are also 2 of the most expensive places in Asia, but hey- a girl needs to go to a good salon to get her blond highlights done.
